7:00 – 9:00 PM
SUB Room 215
In this workshop we’ll explore how to soothe the nervous system using gentle asana (poses), pranayama (breath), and other techniques including yoga nidra (yogi sleep). We’ll look at why the nervous system reacts the way it does, and how we can heal ourselves from stress and overstimulation.
It’s not new that we always complain about our stress from work and classes. We always talk about ways to reduce stress and try to find ways that best suit us. If you’re like me, your stress disappears into thin air when you’re eating fantastic food and doing yoga all in one day. Yoga is definitely one of the easiest ways to reduce your stress. (Believe me. I like it better than jogging.) It’s even more enjoyable when it’s FREE. Come on, don’t tell me you don’t like free things. As money-deprived and sleep-deprived students dragging ourselves to class, I know for a fact that one hour of yoga can and WILL make a difference in your attitude and your mood. Are you convinced yet? It doesn’t matter what your answer is because you can find out at our workshop happening tomorrow for FREE at 7pm in SUB room 215. All our workshops and classes are led by professional yoga instructors and this one isn’t an exception. In this workshop, you can “calm your nerves” and learn how yoga can soothe the nervous system. By 9pm, when you walk out of the room, you will feel unbelievably energetic and powerful to take on the world.
SEE YOU THERE!
